Area of Expertise & Research Interests

Themis holds a Ph.D. from Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and is currently the Dean of Business Studies. Prior to this appointment Dr. Pantos was the Assistant Provost for Doctoral Studies and Chairman of the Finance and Investments Department at Lincoln University in Oakland, California. Dr. Pantos formerly served as a Chair Professor of Banking and Financial Services at the Lucas Graduate School of Business of San Jose State University, California and as a Chair Professor in Management at the College of Business of Zayed University, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. He has also taught Finance and Economics at Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey, the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., the Schulich School of Business and the Department of Economics at York University and the Atkinson College in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, respectively. His field of expertise include Capital Markets, Regulation, Risk Management of Financial Institutions, Banking, Derivative Securities and Corporate Governance. He has published extensively in various peer-reviewed Finance, Economics and Accounting journals and he has won several prestigious applied research and teaching awards. Dr. Pantos brings more than fifteen years leadership in the fields of Banking and Corporate Finance advising and consulting several well-established banks and law firms in Canada, U.S.A. and abroad respectively.
